Every finished check returns the same result object — the verdict, the sub-status, the scores, and the ten signals behind them.

Costs 1 credit per address

Every call to the verify endpoint runs a fresh live check against the recipient’s mail server — it never resolves from a previously cached verdict — so the verdict reflects the mailbox at the moment you ask. It costs 1 credit per address, the same as a dashboard or bulk check.

The flow

1. Verify the address with POST /v1/email-verifications. Most checks finish inside the request and answer 200 with the result.
2. Poll with GET /v1/email-verifications/{id} if the create call answered 202 — the mail server was slow to respond and the check is still running. Wait poll_after_ms between calls.
3. Read the result. Both endpoints hand back the same result object once the check completes.
